Has anyone ever been asked at their polygraph if they were entirely truthful on their psych test? Do the polygrapher and psychologist work together?
Off all the advice on here on how to pass your psych test, most of it says to keep your mouth shut mostly and tell them what they want to hear. This can usually work, but this cant work if you have your poly test right after your psych test.
whats your opinion?

I had a poly after my psych. I don't think they work together but if you lie you are done. In all cases it is best to tell the truth. Most agencies will over look small things unless you lie about them.

Do you pretty much have to take the poly in every station? Pretty standard?

Depends on the department/state. Some states it is illegal to use a polygraph for a hiring process. Some places do a background check others do polygraphs. Personally I wish all states would outlaw polygraphs for hiring purposes. I feel all it really does it get false confessions out of people because of the way they word questions and follow up questions. Most departments will let you know which method they use and if they don't inform you in the job posting you can call HR and they will let you know.

I'm going for Montgomery County Maryland. I'm really not into calling HR, and I don't see any information regarding how they interview on the website. I guess I'll have to stick it out and see. Boy, I sure hope the hiring freeze thaws out soon.

I am testing with them too once they actually give the test. I believe they are just a background check FYI.
