Go Get it or wait?

Just looking for some input as to what differnet departments do when it comes to grass fires. Do you drive out in the field/wetland to get it or do you wait for it to come to you and suround it and let it burn to you?

To many variables to answer over the Net, Each situation is diffrent.

A lot of variables here...Wind, Fuels loading, access, fire behavior, and a couple of other things. Tactics can go anywhere from there. Burning out, waiting, anchor and flank, mobile attack, and ect.
