Is anyone else going broke having to replace the HUD drive in their SCOTT SCBA's?

Not sure about the HUD drive, but we have had many of our HUDs fail, usually due to the cable that plugs into the pac by the HUD battery compartment.

Luckily these parts have been replaced under warranty.

A respectable amount of chatter and scuttlebutt about an inappropriatly high number of AV3000 mask failures during this week's FDIC Hands-On Training. Heat failures at temperatures monitored to be less than 300F, several HUD failures... I spoke to a couple of instructors waiting for the vendor booths to open tomorrow so that they can talk to Scott about it...
