Syracuse, NY FD getting ready to hire

It was just recently announced in the local media that the Syracuse, NY FD is getting ready to start hiring.
They may have up to 50 positions to fill by the end of the year due to retirements.

RESIDENCE REQUIREMENT FOR EXAMINATION: Candidates must have resided in Onondaga County or one of its contiguous counties (Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oswego) for not less than one (1) month immediately preceding the date of examination. PREFERENCE IN APPOINTMENT MAY BE GIVEN TO LOCAL RESIDENTS.

So it looks like if you aren't a resident of the above counties from May 27, 2009, thru June 27, 2009, you can't sit for the test. Bummer...
