So, I am currently in the process for Denver and I have a question for people who already went through it. I just went through the suitability part and today I got a phone call from my background investigator. Is the background investigation part of the suitability phase or did I pass that phase and the background is the next phase? I can't find the link anymore on the Denver website for staus information.

All the hiring is done through the Civil Service Commission.
Not to pee in your cheerios but when I was there for the CPAT we were informed that all academy's for 2009 have been canceled (police and fire). They were hoping for a November academy and pushing for it, but it doesn't seem that the budget is there. So the next academy would be in June of 2010. After that the process starts all over again, due to commission rules of only keeping a list for 2 years.

due to commission rules of only keeping a list for 2 years.
Except my question is do they determine that date of expiration from the first written test done back in '08 or do they start from the date that they have a list of applicants that have passed the background, poly, psych and CPAT which just happened early May? There's a big difference in how long the list is good for when you consider both options.
Anyone know?
