Wyoming brothers and sisters,
Myself and my nephew, both on the job in Arizona, are likely coming up to your fine state for a deer hunt. I'm not trying to e-scout, or ask for honey holes, but since we are about 1200 miles away we could use some general guidance before we purchase left-over tags.
We are looking for a public land hunt (or permission on private land but we can't afford big trespass fees). We are looking for an area on the Eastern side of the state, preferably in Region A, with a November hunt. We are looking for an area fairly close to a town (within 40-60 miles) as we were planning to stay in a motel. We could bring camping gear but that will require us to bring a trailer up to carry more gear.
We would really appreciate any advice or general guidance from the local firefighters. We’ll bring lots of patches, shirts, jackets and hats! Thanks in advance for your help!
