Anyone testing for Aurora FD or know any info on Aurora FD??

Not much do you know how many people are testing. I know about the bonus points from the packet they mail you after sending in your application and what ever else there was in it.

I dropped off my application the other day. They handed me a sheet for preference points which you have to apply for after testing. 5 for living in Aurora, 5 for military background, 5 for having Paramedic in their system, 3 for EMT-I, and 5 for being an Aurora explorer.

Does anyone know what test format they are taking? I/O solutions, MEAS, or that new video one?

Not sure what format, but the schedule they handed out has a mandatory two hour study session to look over graphs and figures. Then you break and take the test in the afternoon. I have never taken anything like that before.

I never taken a test like that before. I didnt get the hand out yet. I expressed mailed my app in yesterday. Got there around 10:30am. So the mandatory study session is on the 19th before test? It seems like a great department to work for. Im already a paramedic but from previous posts it sounds like they are only giving preference points to paramedics in their system.
