School Bus Rescue Evolutions
The Basic School Bus Rescue evolutions discussed in this posting include those assignments that fit the following criteria;
-can be accomplished with simple tools
-utilize rescue techniques that are not involved or complex
-can be accomplished by first arriving EMS or
Fire/Rescue teams
-can be completed within a relatively short period of time
-require only one or two members working as a crew to complete
In addition to being quick and simple in nature, the basic evolutions are also those most commonly required at real-world school bus rescue accidents.
Vehicle Hazards control
Stabilization: on 6-wheels, rollover, on roof
Initial Access: Service door
Initial Access: Rear door or Third door
Initial Access: Standard side window
The "Picture Window" Evolution
Initial Access: Windshield removal
