We recently received information from an extrication instructor that the '99 Saturn's have a new composite honeycomb bumper that after being exposed to fire weeps hydrofluoric acid. If the acid gets on your skin it seeks out the calcium in your bones. If treated soon enough, calcium carbonate can be used to leach the chemical from your body. If not treated, amputation is the only recourse. We were wondering if anyone else was aware of this and if any more information is available.

Please lets find out if this is true. I hope it is not , but if true we should tell everyone we see & talk to.
