Police car cages

I would like to hear from anyone about the cages in the back of Police cars and if anyone has suggestions when you are delt with a MVA involving a Police car and you have to get the driver out and the cage gets lodged toward the front of the Drivers door. I had a call like this and it took us some time to get the driver out. This cage was hard to work around but we managed to use the JAWS to push it back out of the way. What are your views on this?

Dear Perry: I have dealt with 2 police Cruiser MVa's..We cut the "Invisible" cage with a pair of 36" Bolt Cutters. In both cases, the only problem we had was with the Police Officer's "Personal Office" in his Briefcase.
