Our community just opened the bids for a new Custom Pumper. The lowest bidder specifications call for an Eaton Ceemat RTU-13109b-ATE transmission. I have not heard of this transmission being used in the Fire Service. If anyone out there has any experience with this transmission, I would like to hear your opinion. Thank YOU.

Thumper, If you specked out a rig with an Allison, Then tell them you want an Allison.
The reason they put an Eaton Ceemat in is because of the shortage of Allison's out there.

Thumper,Eaton is an old, respected company with an excellent reputation. The ceemat is relatively new and they are advertising it as a fire apparatus compatable trans. The Allison is an outstanding trans but will probably delay shipment of your apparatus due to the shortage. We chose allison and will now have to wait for late this year or early next for delivery.

GOOD LUCK
