Pierce Sky-Five aerial ladder

Does anybody out there have any information on the Pierce Sky-Five, five section 100’ aerial ladder? How does it work? It is my understanding that Pierce bought the Canadian company, Nova Quintech which originally manufactured the ladder. It seems that it would be a good aerial for a compact truck.
