There is a Federal program that has low interest loans and grants available now to rural fire and rescue departments. USDA's Community Facility Loan and Grant Program. So far this fiscal year they have provided over $13 million in low interest loans and over $1.5 in grants for station, apparatus and major equipment. This program is not only for fire and rescue but those type of projects make up a large part of their business.
