To whom it may concern:
Approximately ten years ago I personally tested a similar mask down here in Florida. I failed terribly. I suffered from smoke inhalation, carbon monoxide poisoning, and a heavy coat of soot in my mouth and throat. I feel as a respected magazine in the fire fighting community you should be obligated to insure claims made are true. These so called masks and filters are usually nothing but mineral oil coated styrene beads and do not filter out toxic gases. I feel it is imperative that we check these wild claims made by so called protection companies.
Thank you
