We are a newly formed unit and would like to
have some information regarding the format
used to write sop's and sog's for this type
of operation. Before we become a viable unit
recognized by the local municipalities. Any
guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Home Address is 1710 65th Ave. W., Rock Island, IL. 61201-7414. if information is
too long to send by e-mail. Thanks: Gil

Contact Boulder Emergency Squad. They are a county supported unit that responds to calls by local departments. Email me if you have any additional questions

Contact the Arlington Heights FD in IL. See if you can get a copy of the "MABAS Division One Dive Team SOP's" Arlington Heights also has a training academy so they would be a good place to start, and they are relativly close.

The Los Angeles County Multi-agency Swifwater Committe Operating Standards and Guidelines, as well as the California Office of Emergency Services Working Group Mutual Aid Swiftwater/Flood Search and Rescue Operational System document, and other useful information is posted on the FILES link at:

Also, you may network with subscribers who have "been there, done that" and are more than willing to share their experience...
The Los Angeles County Fire Department's web site also has the standards & guidelines posted:

Good luck!
