Hi, I am looking for any web sites or any information that you have on water rescue boats. I need the availability to work on large rivers and near low head damns. I would be very greatful to receive any information out there.
thanks

http://www.zodiac.com
We have a zodiac and it's great for everything you've mentioned. The also are not too expensive.
Just make sure you get a good engine to go with it, we tried to go cheap the first time and found out it was a big mistake in swiftwater.
If you want the specifics on what we have let me know and I'll get them to you.

We also went with a zodiac. Only complaint is we could've gone one size larger. Two people in scuba gear and one or two others starts to get a little tight. Otherwise the boat is pretty impressive.
E-mail me if you nee specifics...
good luck

Take a look at a rescue craft designed to go into low water dams - the FORTUNA. It's one of those designs that makes you say "why didn't I think of that." Zodiacs are great, but that is not what they are designed to do. This thing can keep your rescue team safe. Go to WWW.OCEANID.COM. (http://WWW.OCEANID.COM.) Be sure to order the video tape. It is amazing...
