What does the majority of teams use for gear. Gear specifically designed for rescue or commercial work or do you use regular recreational dive gear.
If you use commercial gear what convinced you to spend the extra money? Have you had specific problems with rec. stuff?

In our area, SW Louisiana, we have access problems. We generally use Rec gear due to the ease of use. I am a former Commercial Diver, and that gear is to bulky. We do use and recommend the use of a drysuit and full face mask w/ comms. It is lightweight and keeps your face dry, if used properly. I recommend the Interspiro AGA mated with the OTS comms. Commercial gear is good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think that the extra money is worth it. Also keep in mind that you will need to be trained in the use of the helmets. There are certain safety and emergency procedures one must learn before diving in them.
