Loganton,Cllinton County,PA-1310 Several Clinton, Lycoming and Center County Fire, Ambulance and Rescue Units responded to I-80 Westbound at the 187 milemarker. A 60+ car MVA had multiple intrapements, fire and explosions.

Thirty people were injuried and one was DOA. Three medivac helicopters were used. I-80 as of 2300 is still closed and will be until early morning maybe. Cause of the accident is belive to be a white otconditions during a snow squall.

Loganton, Lamar Township, Nittney Valley, Mill Hall, Flemington, Beech Creek, City of Lock Haven Foam Bank, Dunnstown, Lock Haven EMS, Castena Township, Clinton County Haz-Mat, and Clinton County EMA just among the few to assist on scene.

<br />Update - 12/29/01<br />Loganton-Clinton County, PA<br /> <br />As of 0945 I-80 Westbound is still closed after yesterdays major MVA. The roadway may be damaged from the fire and might have to be repaired before being opened. Also the death toll is now up to 6.<br /> <br />In Jersey Shore-Lycoming County,PA a garbage truck has overturned on Northbound 220. A saddle tank has ruperted the fuel load and there are a number of vehicles involved in this one. Only one injury reported

In Hepburn Township-Lycoming County,PA several accidents reported on RT 15. None have any injries. Snow and some iceing are the cause of these accidents. There are no injuries

At least 60 people died and 50 were injured Saturday in a fire in a historic commercial district in Lima.

<br />12-29-01 <br />Racine, Wi (Racine Co) <br />House fire

At around 1800 hrs. Racine Fire was dispatched to the 1000 blk of Marquette St. Number of calls came into dispatch stating there was a 2 year old child trapped in the house. First engine got on scene and reported heavy fire coming from the house. Command called in extra engine company's. Firefighter Jim Buchhloz found the child beside her bed in her bedroom. Rescue transported the child to St.Mary's Hospital in Racine, then transported to the burn center in Milwaukee. A job well done, Jim.

The rigs on scene were; E-1,E-2,E-6, T-1,R-1, R-7,C-41,C-43,C-48, C-64.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Rehab was also called due to the cold weather. The child had smoke inhalation and second degree burns to her lower body.
