First units on scene reported a five-story, 100’ by 200’ commercial building with heavy fire showing on the first floor. The second floor through the fifth floor was vacant. Firefighters using handlines confined the fire to “Del Sol Furniture” on the first floor with minimal extension to the second floor and extinguished the fire in thirty-six minutes. A 30-year-old male employee was transported to Valley Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition with minor smoke inhalation and small burns to his hand and temple. The cause of the fire was incendiary and the loss is still being tabulated.
