Can anyone help me with a problem regarding radiant heat flux? A building is totally involved in fire. One wall measuring 20m long by 10m high has 4 symmetrically placed windows, each 6m long by 2m high. Assumming that the windows act as black body radiators at 1000 degrees celcious, calculate the radiant heat flux 10m from the building, where the radiant heat flux is a maximum. Assume that the receiver is parallel to the face of the building. Any help will be welcome Thanks a lot.

This is a classical radiant flux problem. If you have access to either the SFPE Fire Protection Handbook or Fire Dynamics by Drysdale you should be able to work your way thru the problem.
