Many of us have become accustom to the changes in the fire service. Most air pack are now upgraded with PASS devices that are activated by the user or when they turn on their bottle. Someone in our department have discovered that after alarming and the PASS device is activated in the alarm mode that if a handheld radio is key up in close range it can reset the PASS device. I am curious to find out how many people are aware of this and if there is other problems that are out there for those of us in the trenches. For we really need an open forum where we can post our knowledge for others to see.
