I am trying to find out how older firehouses accommodate women firefighters in houses that don't have separate bathroom and bunk houses. If your fire house made some adjustments or you know of any who have, please drop me an email and let me know the name of the firehouse, where it is located, and what kind of accommodations they made.
I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.

The bathrooms having a sliding sign "In use by" male or female. As for bunking, everyone wears shorts and t-shirts to bed.

I know in Colorado Springs they have a few older houses, and so does Denver. I would give them a call. They both have web pages and you can find them by linking from firehouse.

I lived in a firehouse in College Park MD that was accomodating for everyone even the blind -- since it's a county building, it needed to have it's signs in English and Braille. Go figure.
I have seen the sliding "occupied" sign in MD, as well.
Since my firehouse uses it's facilities for parties and fund-raisers, the ladies room is the best room in the place! Plush couches and everything.
