· FAIRFAX Co., VA: **2nd Alarm on arrival** 2367 Sycamore View Lane x Elm Tree Dr. Heavy fire 1st floor of a Garden Apartment under construction. [DC2]. 1:00a.m.

· STLFN: FREEBURG (ST. CLAIR Co.), IL: Update Freeburg FD’s fire at 550 W. Phillips St. Command has requested Mutual Aid for a Pumper from New Athens FD. [STL997]. 1:00a.m.

· FAIRFAX Co., VA: **3rd Alarm** 2367 Sycamore View Lane. Heavy fire involving a Garden Apartment under construction. [DC2]. 1:45a.m.

· STLFN: FREEBURG (ST. CLAIR Co.), IL: Update on Freeburg FD’s fire at the Rebel Manufacturing Co., 550 W. Phillips St. Freeburg has struck the *General Alarm* Extensive Mutual Aid assignments being given out. FD’s on scene are Freeburg, Smithton, East Side, Swansea, Fayettville, New Athens, St. Libory, Milstadt and Mascqutah FD’s @ 60 Firefighters. The buildings are a 1 story brick 75'x300' fully involved Warehouse. Heavy fire and Propane explosions throughout. 1exposure is a 1 story frame Office building 50'x25'. Fire thru roof. Several Supply lines and 2.5'' & 1.5'' hand lines in operation. Also 1 Ladder Truck in operation. (STL997reporting from scene). [STL997*]. 2:42a.m.

· FLORIDA FIRE DIST (ORANGE Co.), NJ: *2nd Alarm* on Big Island Rd. Opposite Cavilaro Farms. Fully involved structure fire. M/A 4 FD’s to scene with Engines/Tankers. [MNS342 IAP]. 3:08a.m.

· 2nd Alarm on arrival – STOUGHTON, MA: Box 7 at 149 Chemung St. Companies report a well involved raised ranch. Heavy fire showing. M/A to the fire and to cover. *453.0250* [TAC9-C51]. 4:28a.m.

· Update - 2nd Alarm on arrival – STOUGHTON, MA: Box 7 at 149 Chemung St. All Companies ordered out of the building. Fire through the roof. Exterior attack. *453.0250* [TAC9-C51]. 4:34a.m.

· Update - 2nd Alarm on arrival – STOUGHTON, MA: Box 7 at 149 Chemung St. Heavy fire all floors and through the roof of a 2.5 story wood frame 20x40. 4 lines stretched operating on exterior. No exposures. DWH. *453.0250* C105 O/S. [TAC9-C51]. 4:49a.m.

· ANN ARBOR (WASHTENAW Co.), MI: **2nd alarm Equiv** Unknown address on Platt Rd x Huron Parkway. Working fire in 2-story Commercial building well involved at this time with defensive operations. Numerous Towers up & flowing. AAFD has 5 Stations on scene & off-duty call backs to respond. Reserve Engine to scene. M/A Pittsfield Twp. for Tower and Chief. (FNNM-751). 4:59a.m.

· Update - 2nd Alarm – STOUGHTON, MA: Box 7 at 149 Chemung St. Bulk of the heavy fire knocked down. Companies making interior attack. Extensive overhaul. PWH. C105 O/S. [TAC9-C51]. 5:08a.m.

· Breaking News – BALTIMORE, MD: Mr. William J. Goodwin Jr. will be named Chief of the Baltimore City Fire Department today by Mayor Martin O'Malley. MFN sends their Congratulations to the 26-year veteran of the City Fire Department. [MFN-4]. 6:55a.m.

· RALEIGH (WAKE Co.), NC: *MCI* Rock Quarry & Raleigh Blvd. School bus vs car, over turned. 4 trauma, 9 additional injuries, 8-10 ambulances to additional hospital. 6 Medics, Raleigh FD with extended extrication. [CFP762/714/791/708*700]. 7:40a.m.

· STLFN: FREEBURG (ST. CLAIR Co.), IL: Update on Freeburg FD’s fire @ the Rebel Manufacturing Co., 550 W. Phillips St. Co.’s still on scene overhauling. Fox 2 reports State Fire Marshal is now investigating. [STL997]. 8:42a.m.

· STLFN: MARYLAND HEIGHTS (ST. LOUIS Co.), MO: Maryland Heights FPD has a 1st Alarm house fire next to 11434 Essex x Taylor. Heavy smoke from a 1-story frame house. One line off so far & a supply line has been laid. [STL810]. 8:53a.m.

· STLFN: MARYLAND HEIGHTS (ST. LOUIS Co.), MO: Update - Maryland Heights FPD's 1st Alarm house fire next to 11434 Essex: Command has placed the alarm under control. Searches underway. Move-up 2242 to Maryland Heights House 1. [STL810]. 9:06a.m.

· STLFN: ST. LOUIS Co., MO: Mehlville FPD 1st Alarm house fire @ 111 Linnview x E. Marselle Dr: First Truck on scene had smoke showing from the roof. Working fire. (STL-800). 10:34a.m.

· NEW ORLEANS, LA: *1st Alarm, Haz-Mat* The Superstructure of the Mississippi River Bridge. A lead paint dust collection system on fire. Bridge shut down, traffic tied up for miles. Large concern for lead contamination. [NOLA]. 1:22p.m.

· ROCKAWAY (MORRIS Co.), NJ: *General Alarm* 29 Teabo Rd. Command reporting a fully involved house on fire. [EAN10-51-322-503]. 5:17p.m.

· SAYREVILLE, NJ: General Alarm, Foot of Sheffield St. 20 acre brush fire. Request Foresty Service. [EAN10]. 5:25p.m.

· 2nd Alarm – PORTSMOUTH, NH: 48 Columbia Street. Reported fire showing from a large 2.5 story wood frame structure. DWH. *153.770* C101 [TAC9-C302]. 7:06p.m.

· Update - 2nd Alarm – PORTSMOUTH, NH: 48 Columbia Street. Reported heavy fire showing on the 2nd floor of the structure. (3) lines in operation. *153.770* DWH. [TAC9-C302]. 7:07p.m.

· MFN: WASHINGTON, DC: *2nd Alarm* Building Fire @ #80 "P" St. NW at 4th Street. Command reporting heavy fire showing. Crews in defensive operations. [MFN1]. 7:56p.m.

· Update - 2nd Alarm – PORTSMOUTH, NH: 48 Columbia Street. Fire in a 2.5 story wood frame structure 30x60, heavy fire thru the roof. Request for an extra Engine & Truck to the scene. *153.770* C101 [TAC9-C302]. 8:02a.m.

· Update - 2nd Alarm – PORTSMOUTH, NH: 48 Columbia Street. Reported heavy fire thru the roof of a large 2.5 story wood frame structure. (2) Ladder Pipes in operation. *153.770* [TAC9-C302]. 8:02p.m.

· STLFN: ALORTON (ST.CLAIR Co.), IL: Alorton FD on scene of a Apartment fire @ 108 Mobley Dr. Church Road FD responding M/A. Smoke showing on arrival. (STL 835). 8:12p.m.

· STLFN: (1600hrs) ST. CLAIR Co., IL: Signal Hill & Alorton FD’s were on scene of a vehicle rollover on RT.15 at RT.157. 1 female & 1 baby extricated. Unknown on injuries. [STL997]. 8:17p.m.

· STLFN: ALORTON (ST. CLAIR Co.), IL: Update on Alorton FD’s fire at 108 Mobley Dr. Fire in a 2- family, 2-story building in a upstairs bedroom. Quick knock down. Red Cross notified for family assistance. [STL997/835]. 9:27p.m.

· STLFN: ALORTON (ST. CLAIR Co.), IL: Update on Alorton FD’s working fire @ 108 Mobely Dr. Red Cross on scene. Co.'s overhauling. *FINAL* (STL 835,997). 9:33p.m.

· NORFOLK, VA: 2nd Alarm on arrival in the 800-block E. Princess Anne Rd. 2-story wood frame occupied multiple dwelling with heavy fire/smoke. Several 5" large diameter lines down. First in Engine off w/2.5", 2 additional 2.5" in service. Primary search negative. Fire stop at firewall. Holding all Units at this time. (Tac 3 -800) 2350h (VFN113). 11:09p.m.

· DETROIT, MI: **2nd Alarm** Grand River & Strathmore: Chief 4 requesting a 2nd Alarm for a Commercial building. (016,552,600). 11:40p.m.

This is Cincinnati Fire District Chief Paul Weber reporting on a one alarm fire at the Kroger Store, 4777 Kennard Ave in Winton Place. The fire was discovered about 3:00 p.m. in a trash compactor on the rear dock. The sprinkler system contained the fire until arrival of fire companies. The fire was quickly brought under control. Water damage was confined to
the dock area but there was extensive smoke damage throughout the store. The Cincinnati Health Department responded and the store will be closed indefinitely.

Due to the large area fire companies were on the scene for over 2 hours to evacuate the smoke form the building. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. The cause is under investigation and the loss estimated at $30,000.

0438 A31 Holloway Incident of note at 41 Queens Drive, fire in a 3-sty private dwelling 5m x 12m, 5 civilians rescued over ground ladders from 2nd and 3rd flrs, using 1 jet and 1 hosereel.

0541 F28 Homerton Special Serive at 10-22 Lamb Lane, 3-sty factory 30m x 15m partically converted to living area, 3rd flr damaged by explosion, 30 civilians evacuated from bldg by LFB, no injuries.
