I was hoping that Firehouse Magazine would maybe do a story on some different Explorer Posts from around the country. Fire Explorers are the future of the Fire Service, when most Firefighters now are retired, we will be the ones running calls and serving them. I thought it would be a good idea to get Explorers known to the entire Fire service, and to the public. My post has got some press coverage in our city and it was very positive for our program, we ended up having a huge turnout for our recruiting month because of the exposure we had.
