Potential for Major Wildfire!

(Phoenix-AP) -- Three of Arizona's northern forests are dry
enough that officials with the National Forest Service are
implementing fire and smoking restrictions.
The restrictions begin at eight a-m Thursday in the
Apache-Sitgreaves, Prescott and Tonto National Forests.
The exemptions include the southern portions of the Tonto
National Forest.
Officials say the potential is there for a major wildfire.
Campfires, charcoal grills and stove fires are prohibited on
national forest lands, except in Forest Service developed camp and
picnic grounds where grills are provided.
Smoking is allowed in enclosed vehicles or buildings.
Fireworks are prohibited.

Yeah Az and NM or as most know it R3 should be a hot spot this year.

So remember for all engine and crews coming to AZ make sure to carry extra water with you for drinking, the Tonto NF is a nice forest and its not too bad. One thing about the area is if you are out on a night shift and or are spiking out make sure to carry a good Space Blanket with you, they come in nice to keep the bugs that pinch off you.

And new mexico already had a large fire this year 37,000 but most of it was a burn out opp.

Stay Safe,
