For some reason, someone found my post about forming an association against the IAOCOJ as a threat or something. I don't want anymore personal email with crap in it. thanks. :(
Thanks to you guys who took it as a joke and responded as such. I enjoyed the friendly banter. I'll make sure not to step on any toes in the future. BTW it wasn't any of you who posted here :) I don't want to mention names.
So long, farewell, adios, a plethera of goodbyes!

Before you go too far, remember this old quote. "Treachery and deceit will always overcome youth and skill".

I am 24 and have been in the fire service for 6 1/2 yrs. My crust maybe a little light but I have been around firehouses since I was a little kid. I appreciate the old ways. You gotta admire a guy who sucked smoke, did it with a rubber long coat, hip boots, and a crusty
leather lid. Oh and rode the step to the fire!! Tremble before a guy wearing a NASA suit, fighter pilot helmet, and more foam than a car wash; YEAH RIGHT!! Leather forever, keep the crust coming!!

The I.A.C.O.J. is like this country, we will not falter,we willnot fail. We shall continue the fight against the pups and mutts who would deny us our God given right to our CRUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:p :D
I am 28 years old w/10 years in now. I have acquired a certain amount of crust in those years, and I will continue to get even crustier!! :p :D
(I will however continue to be proactive about inovations!);)

as a crust old jakes, I respect rookies which you sound like, so as a rookie you still have alot of learning to learn. I hope you learn that experience is the best teacher you can have. I have 26 years experience and still don't know it all and I'd bet you a dinner that I can still learn from these guys.

Forget about this one, KFD232...there are more COJ's than you can ever imagine! Every day, more and more firefighters are recognizing their past and seeing their destiny...the Crust of the fire service is strong and growing...every alarm and working fire only increase the crust..
To paraphrase Winston Churchill...
Never in the field of firefighting has so much been owed by so many to so few. We, the Proud members of the IACOJ shall never surrender...we will fight the mutts on the fireground, in city hall and in the media...we will fight to the last of the crusty old jakes, for our cause in noble and just!
Someone will be prying our cold dead fingers from our nozzles before we tremble in front of anyone from the IAAIACOJ...the dark side of the fire service!
To axes, pike poles and hoselines, my brothers and sisters...let us use the weapons of our forefathers and the technology of today to drive the unworthy from out of our hallowed halls! :D
May the Crust be with you!

KFD232:
All's you had to do was keep quiet, watch and learn. But you couldn't do it. You had to pull the "yoot" card. Well, where's your buddies now? It's just you and us crusty old jakes. No one can hear your screams when you close your eyes at night. No one's got your back. You messed up big time, kid. And I was just startin' to like you. Thought about naming my next kid after you. Thought we might get together over a cup of joe. I could of been Butch and you could have been Sundance. But you got too eager. "Yea, though we walk through the valley of crust, we fear no one, for we are the crustiest old jakes in the valley!" Pray to St. Florian for forgiveness.
And you got that other thing wrong, too. We don't breathe smoke and **** vinegar; we EAT SMOKE and SH*T FIRE!!!
Sleep tight, little buckaroo.

AHA!
Got to you, did we? Brought your reel hose to a big water party, huh?
Probably got to thinking about things while you were making that PB and J sandwich. And let's see; what was that stuff that kept the jelly on the bread? CRUST! It's everywhere you look. It's in the songs that you hear. You know the ones I'm talking about. Crust in the wind; all's we are is crust in the wind.-Kansas.
....crust to crust, leave us alone; I'm to tell you that we're bad to the bone!-George Thorougood.
I'm glad that you want to join your younger brothers, who, by the way, have been BEGGING to get in.
You forgot "mopes" on your list. And goofy is a mutt!
I don't know that you have atoned for your indiscretions. Let's ask the Superior High COJ. Gonzo?
We'll get back to you. And don't leave town.
IMACOJ and proud of it.

As the newly elected president of the IACOJ, I am granting Scott a membership in the IACOJ...he does have a sense of humor, and after all, even Darth Vader came back to the Force and threw the Emperor Mutt of the Dark Side (I wonder who that would be...hee hee :D)into the reactor of the Death Star.

I will bring my toothbrush....
You know the one...
'HEY PROBIE!!! Get your toothbrush and come here. See those little cracks on the bay floor. They are all full of dirt. You are below that dirt. You are whale scum. Take your little brush and clean all the dirt out of those cracks!'
'Yes sir.'
I would love the job as chief floor crack scrubber for the IAOCOJ!! Has that position been filled?

I don't think that position has been filled. When I am not doing the dishes or making IACOJ patches, I am standing on my head in the corner listening to them, waiting for a 'command'... I'll talk to superchef and make sure you don't miss out on the feasts she creates. :)

Hmm, seems like it was just yesterday that there I was risking life and lungs to pull ol' Scott Reasor out of a burning, wrecked ambulance unconscious...(true story)...I worried then that he was dead.:(
Sorry guys, I guess I shoulda left him in there!
Scott, I can't save you from this one! I have way too much crust now to help!:D :D :D

Ah true it is boyo!
Glad you yanked me out though... I like my skin smooth and soft and not cooked to a crisp. :)
As for risking life and lung for me... hehe that was the last time you saw fire wasn't it! (sorry, had to jab you like that. You even missed the one I made when I was down your way a few months back.) Hope the sparks start flying in your neck of the woods soon. We have a white cloud on up here, since he came on the job, it has been only dinky crap!!
As far as getting a crust... you can vouch for mine :) lol You know I own leather!!! And I have been known to help others helmets along who don't use them.... at least one time. hehe...
Stay safe bro,

You sound like a good guy, so listen to me- Always remember, Crust is a must. Don't deny your inner crustiness. And stay out of the rope locker, those dogs don't know what they're sniffing.
