is it acceptable to band your badge for non line-of-duty funeral of a firefighter

Don't rightfully know. I've seen it done for when a member dies, even if it isn't LODD. Guess it's up to your chief.

Absolutely!!! If the individual was a firefighter, they deserve the respect of the mourning band. You are mourning their death, right? It is perfectly O.K. as far as I'm concerned.
