National Geographic has been running an article in the magazine for a while named "Your Favourite Zipcode?"

Just wondered if anyone would like to post details about "the town behind the fire station?"

Although mine is a Postcode,(NE61 2EP), not a Zipcode, I'll start things off.

Town - Morpeth, County of Northumberland, NE England, UK.
Location - about 300 miles north of London.
Population 15000, housed in 400 years old town with many old buildings and historical places. Most people live and work here and in the surrounding area, which is mainly rural. Nearest city is 15 miles away.
Best thing about it, small town feel with large town atmosphere & no McDonalds!
Worst thing, can't think of anything, I love living here.

Well, we do have our own postal code. But other than a 4 star resturant, a gas station (with the postal outlet iside) two motels and a auto wrecking yard, we are not even big enough to be called a village. :) The only thing missing, I guess is the one horse tied up to the General Store (this would be the PetroCan gas station). But that's ok, Victoria is only about 40km away and Langford is only slightly closer. We can't even spell McDonalds! :D
