Sorry to intrude, but I'm looking for a few good men (and/or women)to explain the intricacies of wildland firefighting. I'm a magazine writer (Esquire, etc.) and author ("3000 Degrees," most recently) on assignment for Men's Journal to cover this summer's forest-fire season. Ideally, I'd like to spend a couple of weeks with a top-notch crew later in the season. Thus, I turn to the experts, who would be you folks.
Two questions, then:
1) Any volunteers willing to put up with a pesky writer for a few days?
2) Any volunteers willing to share detailed accounts of fires they've fought in the wild?
