In a moment of lucidity, I came upon an idea for "Jake- The Cologne". I'm thinking eau de burnt treated lumber and a touch of sofa. I think it would be a great thing to market to the neophytes (hey, Temptaker, I snuck that in)and other potential wannabes.

The idea actually started out last night as an air freshener for engine companies that didn't see much action, but the thought of some pup rolling around on a dozen pine shaped "Jake" air fresheners didn't appeal to me. Discussion?

You could have different scents like: "Brush Fire", or "Electric Arc"
or how about "SIN-der" (before anyone says anything, I know it's spelled C-I-N-D-E-R) :D :p

It could be called "Eau de Conflagration"

I need some "Eau de Conflagration" FAST! Someone with the expertise needs to get to work on this in a hurry!

After nine years my wife finally told me that "essence of a structure fire" is an aphrodisiac!;)

We just don't get that many fires anymore.:(

Alright, next room and contents I get, I'll be scaping all of that crap up from overhaul and bringing it back to the station with me. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the chunks o' sheetrock to fit into one of those bottles?

truck6alpha,

Just run it through blender mixed with some runoff water from the incident. It should give you the liquid you need to bottle it plus every incident creates a new, slightly different batch.

Just a couple of weeks ago, there was a story about the Port-A-Johns storage area that caught fire someplace...and dozens of them burned.

Now I know where they get that "Parfum de Toilet"!  :p

Beautiful... simply beautiful :)

You could just scrape up the resin after, drop it in some run-off water and let it ferment for a while. Shake it ever so often. I'm sure the color will be very appealing

Would "rapid Oxidation" work?
And NJFFS_A16: The johnny on the spot fire was in North St Louis County...went all the way to a 3rd alarm!
