Hello all! I just got a conditional offer of employment from South Metro Fire Rescue to start their academy in the fall!!! Woo-hoo! I took the psych exam and the medical exam this week and will hear back in about three weeks. South Metro is an awesome fire department with 10 stations, ALS ambulances, and a high traffic area (www.southmetro.org). What a dream come true! I never expected to get hired at all, I just wanted the interview experience. Just thought I'd let all of you that are applying know that it can happen for you!

Sometimes that's the way to approach these interviews....with no expectations. If you get hired...it's great. If not, try again.

Congratulations on entering this most noblest and dangerous of careers. Never doubt yourself, I am living proof that if you try hard enough and stay dedicated you can get hired on.:D
