FBI warns of environmental terrorist threat
(Missoula-AP) -- The F-B-I has warned Missoula authorities about
threats from an environmental terrorist group targeting the U-S
Forest Service.
In a letter faxed to a newspaper in Warren, Pennsylvania, the
Earth Liberation Front said the agency's facilities, quote, "will
be targeted for complete destruction."
The F-B-I says it alerted Missoula law enforcement groups,
because of the number of Forest Service offices there.
The Earth Liberation Front has claimed responsibility for an
arson fire last month in Pennsylvania.
It says the fire was in response to timber sales, oil drilling
and, quote, "greed-driven manipulation of natural resources," in
the Allegheny Mountains.
