More than 60 Tulsa Fire Department personnel responded to Arlington Arms apartments early Saturday that damaged 12 units at 1530 E. 14th Street. Smoke was coming from the roof on arrival. Firefighters found fire caught in between the walls and had to knock down some ceilings to get to the fire. Fire was brought under control about 0700hrs. Damage to the was estimated at more than $200,000. Ten of the apartment units were occupied. A total of 20 people lived in the apartments which suffered a substantial amount of smoke and water damage. The Tulsa Chapter of the American Red Cross was on site to assist victims and firefighters.
