Intresting way of looking at some of the bigger picture. Probably one of the biggest factors governing wildland fire behavior besides weather is fuel management. Bleeding heart conservationists either ignore or don't want to see that the forests are in dire need of management. Even the private sector is responsible for fuel management at their private property.
