I am going to be doing some rope rescue and I need a helmet.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions.
I am looking at the Bullard Advent A2, and the PMI Advantage Helmet.
If you have any opinions on these helmets, or recommend something, any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Keith

Our CSR Team uses the Bullard Advent A2 helmet with the 3point strap. This works real well for outside work as this helmet has a brim. CSR work I believe the PMI helment would work better.
Your decision should probably be based on if you are using it mainly for CSR, or High angle.

If you have the money look into a Pacific R3 helmet they now have the ESS goggle mounting studs built in

I hope the internal suspension of the PMI Advantage is more comfortable than the PMI Alto. The suspension on the Alto has sharp tabs that poke into your scalp. We had to put padding over the tabs to make the helmets wearable.

The Petzl Erin series of helmets are nice.

I don't know if the Petzl helmets have all the "right" certifications for the fire service, but the helmets are adjustable (by means of a "wheel"), light-weight, have ventilation (Roc model) holes, have headlamp clips/mounts, etc.

The Bullard is O.K. but I pref. the Petzl.
