I don't have a lot of experience, but I know a lot about ropework from the rescue perspective. One of my brothers is volunteering as a SWAT medic for our city police task force, and they want him to teach a tactical rope insertion type class. He recognized this as an opportunity to pass it on to me. Thanks...But anyway, I could teach whatever they wanted to know about rescue but reworking it to apply to guys that get shot at is something I need to research. They just want a rappelling class, but I don't want to waste their time, or perhaps infinitely more important, my time, by just showing them how to rig an 8 and fall down a rope...

Anybody know any tactical/SWAT rope resources?

Here is a link to a website. http://www.prolearn.org/stealth/

The book they offer on the site, Urban rope entry systems 2000 is supposed to be very good. J. Danis is brilliant, you won't be disappointed.
