Oregon Dept. of Forestry Employment

I am looking to apply for a position with the Oregon Dept. of Forestry. I have contacted them, and I now have to choose a location in Oregon to work. I live in New York, and don't know much about Oregon. I was wondering if anyone knew what part of the state is the best to work. Where is there the most action? Any information would be great.

It's not what 99% of Americans picture if you say you're from Oregon. But it's a great place. I know, I'm in Eastern Oregon :D
