You guys have been around long enough to see apparatus manufacturers come and go, be bought and sold, merge and consolidate. What are some of the nick names given to their company names. We were trying a few weeks ago at work to remember some of them.

Examples:

KME - Keep Mechanics Employed

AI - Aerial Impersonators

LTI - Likely To Invert

ALF - Almost Like Firetrucks

Any others. And keep in mind, this is all in fun and in no way implies that their nick names are true reflections of their apparatus. LOL.

Station2 - I would really like to hear the Smeal one, as I have never heard any good ones.

How about:

Pierce Contender is actually the Pierce Pretender.

Central States is Central Mistakes.

FMC - Fu Man Chu

HME - Homos Make Engines

Everytime something goes wrong with one of the Pierces in one of my FD's, I tell them it was because they bought a "Pierce of S**t" :)
