Though I posted this in the Off-Duty Discussions, I just wanted our Illinois brothers and sisters to know that Little Jay turned 33 today.
Please join me in wishing him a solid, right-on and very happy birthday.

You know, if you're gonna butt in here on this forum, you can at least get up to speed on all the threads!!! :D Just kidding.
June is the Illinois Association of Frie Protection Districts annual convention. There has been a movement afoot to have some sort of an IL Division of IACOJ mini-convention at the same time. I will buy beer for all my friends. You can come if you'd like, buckeye-boy!:p
Thanks again for the b-day wishes!

Weruj1:
If you are going to visit our state forum, then you should answer a couple of questions about Illinois:
What's the state bird?
What's our motto?
What recent governor is going to jail?
Show us the secret handshake.

CR, I must help my friend with this.
State bird: That's easy! JAYBIRD!!
State motto: "What's in it for me?"
Furute jailbird gov: "Georgie-porgie with his fingers in the pie."
Secret handshake: Well, I've given you 3 out of 4. You can do some work on your own!

He threw that little gem out just before his 50th last year. We threw a surprise party for him and I was the only one wishing him a "Happy Anniversary." Everybody else thought I was drunk already (that came later).
So, you're up to 712 now, eh? Is that your little ploy? Use your fire as a "break" from posting, let me get close, then go on a posting frenzy and pull away? Humph.

Oh, you will Wub, you will.

Was thinking back to some of my geriatric bashing posts, such as the last one, the "whats vinyl" post ect... anyway, I realized that as the resident young flatlander here I need to throw some respect to my elders. ( which is pretty much everyone here).
Otherwise. . .
I may get beat over the head with a bunch of canes and walkers, not to mention the things that can be thrown (geritol, diapers, hemmeroid pillows, ect.
Safe to say I have learned my lesson.

I would run you down and beat you with my cane Wub if I could. But alas I CANT, I played a double header and now can barely WALK.
F18Wub
07-24-2003, 08:20 PM
Come on now, don't sell yourself short. Even though I am t he youngest of the flatlanders, I'm not the fastest. I tend to move about like the "bull in the china shop".

Watch it, Wub or I will hit you with every senior citizen discount that I can muster.
What'll it be? Cane or crutches at 40 paces?
Name your poison.
I await your answer. Speak up; I can't hear so good.

Well I see the gloves have come off. Out of respect for my elders, you may choose. Be forwarned though. Back in my junior college athletic days, I finished in the top 10 nationally in the 35 lb. weight throw. (indoor version of the hammer) So bring it on
Geez, who woulda thought that an attempt to not let this thread die would turn so violent so fast
Sorry, forgot about the hearing.
OUT OF RESPECT FOR MY ELDERS, YOU MAY CHOOSE THE WEAPON CR

Oh, ok. I see. Now we have digressed to calling names. You know, violence is one thing, but namecalling is a whole new low for this forum. I personally am greatly offended.
Oh, and in the words of Greg Fisher from IFSI, no matter what you call me, my parents were married:D

Heres the opposite end of the San Fransisco spectrum... Dirty Harry is such a brute!
F18Wub
07-27-2003, 03:18 PM
I admit my defeat. Its true, experience wins out over brute force. Fight smarter, not harder.
I humbly await my punishment. Probably 20 whacks with a crutch or walker.
May god have mercy on my soul

07-27-2003, 03:37 PM

Admit defeat- yes
Beg for fogiveness- no
Its not a retreat, its a tactical redeployment of available resources.
Another thought: I'm not getting any younger, so- if you can't beat them, join them.

I wished Jay a Happy birthday on a different thread ... so HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JACK!!
I haven't done any birthday threads for a long time mainly because who knows if the damn thing is accurate anymore (until they fix the profile/birthday glitch) and I think the last one I did was for Darin and he didn't even see it :(
