Back in the 80's (yeah, I know, ancient history) after Ward '79 went out of business but before Mack stopped building the "CF" model I remember reading that FDNY was redesigning its pumper bodies and that they were going to be built by Saulsbury on "CF" chassis. I know a few satellites were built but were any pumpers built with this new style body? Whenever I read about FDNY apparatus it always refers to Mack/Ward '79s being replaced by Seagraves. Just curious.

To answer your question, no pumpers with body work by Saulsbury on either a Mack CF or Mack MR chassis that I could find. And the transition from the Mack CF/Ward 79's was right to the Seagraves. Just some thoughts.

Once again your facts are incorrect, similar to the buy out facts about Pierce buying Seagrave you posted and then danced about. Hook and Ladder, you expert you. I gleaned the facts right from a J. Calderone edited publication. I know, he doesn't know anything either. I don't work for FDNY but have a few friends up there. I have always been told that Calderone knows his stuff and is a very credible source for apparatus information. The 1995 and 2002 editions of the F.A.J. publication "New York City Fire Apparatus" are all wrong and have no significantly acurate data and were a waste of time. Are you alleging that a fraudulent item was sold?

On the other issue, care to point out when ENGINE CO. apparatus were bought by FDNY that consisted of Mack CF chassis with body work by Saulsbury?

So please, do set the record straight.

P.S.: I looked at the recommended web site and found no "True Factual" apparatus information or anything about the organization you mentioned.
