I am a Federal Firefighter in Florida and Came across a recruitment Flyer for La City Fire Dept, and was wondering if any of my California FF Brothers can answer some questions I have.
1) Does California Accept Florida/ DOD or Proboard Certs?
2) What is the retirement 411?
3) What’s the best/worst station?
4) What are the Training/advancement/Special Program opportunities with the Department?
5) Is there a lot of turnover? If so why?
6) I Lived in San Diego for 10 years Loved it, only made it to L.A. a couple of times. How do the cities compare? Cost of living and condidtion would probably prohibit living in the city so where should I look if hired?
