National Registry should be fairly easy, they may have reciprocity or you may have to challenge the test.
I have heard that is is very difficult to get Florida to recognize any fire training. Get as much documentation as you can but you'll probably end up having to take their courses.
Good luck, after the change in weather here the past few days, I'm ready to move down there myself!

Yes it is very difficult to get your Ohio training recognized in Florida. Their fire academy is 450 hours as opposed to Ohio's 240 hr. I know a guy who left Ohio and went to Florida... It took him about 2 1/2 to get through all of the red tape and testing. You might want to check on the Florida forums for information.

I believe that there is a such thing as NPQ, 1, 2 and 3. My understanding is that it stands for National Professional Qualifications. Could be wrong though, my info came from a hick or two from Goergia.
Then again National Registry doesn't really mean national now does it.

LOL! Yes there is NPQ, but it is not utilized by all of the states. And apparently, NPQ isn't necessarily standard in GA. I heard about at least 1 department that doesn't accept NPQ quals down there..... That whole gig is confusing.
