The Red Cross has a good PR class. Anything out there for us? I'm being lured in that direction, and would like some course work to back it up.

The PA State Fire Academy offers a public relations class for the fire service. Don't know how close you are to PA but if you ask Butler County or Allegheny County fire schools to run it I'll be glad to make the road trip. One of the topics we discuss is dealing with the media on scene and the role of the PIO.

We also discuss building business coalitions, writing press releases and designing audio-visual presentations.

I also just saw in the 2004 NFA catalog that they have a week long course if you can spare the time.
