During actual incident...no. During a drill....yes, while trying to.

After breaking one on scene, we now show this in all of our classes in a controlled situation. We show proper technique and what to expect to see, warning signs. Granted we cover chains, and place a board, remove all personnel from danger zone prior to the move. However students can see the actual column move, where it will break and the benefit of proper wrapping.
Yes, the column master works awesome as well. But, it will also break this knuckle, if enough force is applied, or the column was damaged during the wreck.
I da have pic's of breaks and wraps, but for some reason I can not attach them to this forumn. Mail me or help me with some tips, and we will get them up here.

Resqtek,Cover chains? With what and for what purpose? And pulling on them with what and what rating?I'm curious,I've never covered a chain in my career and can see no reason to do so but I can think of a couple why I wouldn't.I'm interested in your take.T.C.
