Biography for Interview

Have to write a biography as part of the hiring process. Anyone have any ideas/examples or know where to look for something like this?

They have my resume. They want a one page biography to share with the local media.

Here is my ideas.... Make a brief list of places you have gone, things you have accomplished and things you are proud of in your life. Put them in chronological order from birth to present. Now use sentenence format and make a story about you. Briefly explain you family and finish it with how you have dedicated you life towards getting a career in the fire service. Keep it simple, it sounds like they just want it to introduce yourselve ( if it is a media tool ).
This is my idea.
