Actress Eartha Kitt injured in car crash
(Westport-AP Aug. 6, 2004 1:30 PM ) _ Actress and singer Eartha Kitt suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving collided with another car and flipped over in Westport.
The 77-year-old Kitt, one of the actresses who played Catwoman in the Batman TV series in the 1960s, was treated at Norwalk Hospital and released.
The accident occurred at about 9:30 yesterday morning. Police say Kitt's Land Rover was crossing a road when it collided with a car, causing her car to roll over onto its roof.
Kitt, who lives in Weston, had two poodles in her car. They were not injured.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.

Well, at least the poodles made it through okay...

MVA!!! I don't know about your FD, but mine deals with MVAs.
Also, this is the "Off-Duty" section...SO BACK OFF!
Attached is a snapshot of the current "Off-Duty" section...looks like it's all about firefighting to me...

Pal, I have been doing this job since 1958. I could care less if the person in an auto accident, is an actress or actor. I just cut them out put them in the bus and go back in service. We was dealing with MVA's when all you had was a pry bar to get the door open.
I normally don't respond to posts that aren't "fire related" but I did.
This fourm is geting more like AOL in so many ways. It was started to address the issures of firefighting and to pass on great information. Some one wanted a area to talk crap and they went to far in the chat rooms by getting it shut down. Some of these posting shoudn't be allowed!

I could care less about the actress too, but I posted it because I thought it was funny that they reported on the status of the dogs...
Is this fire related? No, that is why it is in the OFF-DUTY section...If it was fire related, it would be in the "Firefighters Forum" section....gee, imagine that...different categories for different types of discussion....OMG, what is this world coming to?!?!?
Don't like the post, then don't respond!
