I am joining the military and I need to lose some weight. I have about seven months left what is the best way to lose weight and keep it off? I am getting a position as a FF in the military so is there any drills or excercises that I should do?

You have to start off by being very specific about your goal: do you want to lose weight or bodyfat? Weight encompasses water, muscle, bones, organs, fat, etc.
Healthy and safe fat loss should occur at a rate of about 2 pounds of bodyfat per week. The best way is to combine weight/strength/resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, and nutritional habits that allow fat loss/muscle gain.
As far as exercises or drills, off the bat, train like an athlete does. Fighting a fire, especially in the military, is nothing short of an athletic event.
Do you have to pass a physical test before you go?

The only thing I know I have to pass is the MEPS station and the basic military entrance exam! As far as I know there will be no CPAT exam or anything like it!
