I was a member of a small department that had a points system you can go to there website and take a look and if you can't find it email the administrator and he could send you a copy. Thanks

That website is www.TVFD.org

My brother is a FF/Medic for the Edina, MN fire Department. They use a system to figure salaries based on certifications and time on. The FF seem to like it and it seems to be a fair system. I would recommend that you check out thier website and make a call to the Chief. Here is the link.

Our company uses a point system. Two points are given for attendance
at alarms , parades ,meetings(company, committee,bo ard or association)
fund raising functions and company fire training sessions. For active member status , one must accumulate 140 points per year .We ran 450 alarms in 2004 ,so active status is not terribly difficult to maintain.
