How much time?

Now that everyone is done with this grant, I'm curious as to how many hours you figure you spent on writing the grant. My first one took about 100 hours of my time, after that substantially less, but still pretty time consuming.

I just used last years information and massaged it to conform to the new rules and the requested we made... So probably only took me about 24 hours total.

I actually kept track of my time for our firehouse records, and ended up with around 25 hours on it. Most of the computer questions were the same from last year, with the narrative taking up most of the time.

Thanks, that's about what most depts are saying for repeat applications. Any first time applicants keeping track of their time and effort?

I had about 18 hours in it. I'm luck we have a grant committee that helps alot with the info. I did the and narrative and online applying. it helps alot. But this is my first time doing the grant.
