Anyone used the hotspot saw light which is part of the chain-brake handle.Pros or cons

I'll give it that. But the bigger danger at night is beyond the light.. up in the tree.. widow makers, leans you can't see in the dark, etc. The other thing is replacing the manufactuers part (especially one designed for safety) potentially opens the door on liability. When bucking, you still won't be able to see the tip of the bar if in a halfway decent sized log, thus the kickback factor hasn't been mitigated.

I agree, you really need to be able to see the top of the tree. I am very hesitant to cut trees at night, and most crew I have worked with agree. If you can't see the top you don't cut it.
